Eventually, Esther left the legal profession to pursue her true calling as an artist. She works primarily with antique wooden boxes. At auctions and antique shops she searches for exceptional pieces that capture her attention through their form, character or history. She is particularly drawn to objects that bear the marks and scars of a life lived. These subtle imperfections and irregularities give them the character that allows a story to be told. The reuse of these antique objects is part of the artistic process and the transformation into a work of art.<\/p>\n
